To my astonishment, he inquired if I would be interested in managing the project for the second generation of the car, the 996 GT3 MkII.” It was an opportunity that felt almost too good to be true. “I deliberated for a brief period,” he says with a characteristic grin, before admitting his eagerness. “No, I accepted the offer before he had even finished his sentence. This was it. My lifelong dream was becoming a reality.” The quest for performance upgrades for Porsche was about to gain a formidable champion.
