Kristen, impressed by his insights, offered him the project manager role for the second generation of the Porsche GT3, the 996 GT3 MkII. “I thought about it for a while,” he jokes, before confessing, “No, I accepted before he’d even finished his sentence. This was it. My dream realized.” The ethos of continuous improvement, characterized by high-revving engines, reduced mass, exquisitely responsive chassis, and a relentless push towards the upper limits of performance, has been the hallmark of the GT department ever since.
